Dance and Performing Arts

Contemporary dance and performance are other production areas in which the sound material, after crossing the plains of inspiration, has the opportunity to deal with reality, with bodies, with space. Since 2011, Martinuz has been working alongside choreographers, dancers and performers (such as Laura Moro, Daniele Costa and MiamiSafari), enhancing their languages with the creation of music and sound design.

Video

Never intended as didactic means, music and sound are the intermediary of other senses and meanings, they are tools of language with purposes other than the ways of the traditionally understood soundtrack. Since 2013, video art has led Mauro Martinuz to collaborate with directors, journalists, photojournalists and performers in the creation of original music, mixes and sound design for documentaries and video art works.

Collaborations

Fascinated by the atmosphere of Teatro Satanico - a dark ambient and post-industrial band founded in Bassano del Grappa in 1993 by Devis Granziera and Alberto Maria Kundalini - Mauro Martinuz joined the line-up in the early 2000s, participating in live shows and recordings. Eraclea is instead his musical space for fun and meeting with other musicians: a power-pop band devoted to the creation of hit songs.

Artistic productions, mixing and mastering

In 2010 he opened Transfert Lab, a studio settled in Berlin and devoted to sound engineering, the creation of mixes and masters for vinyl phonographs and other media. His activity as a producer also continued on his return to Italy: in 2020 he produced and mixed the album “The Flood” by Once Were Sixties and “Due to the Force of Nature” by Nevada.
